My name is William Skea.
I’ve travelled around the world for the past 10 years as an aspirant rock, ski, ice, and mountain guide.
I’m passionate about mentoring others and providing life-changing experiences in the outdoors.
I’ve guided overseas trips in locations such as the Canadian Rockies, Squamish, Whistler, the Bugaboos, Yosemite, Indian Creek, the North Cascades, Zion, the Swiss Alps, and New Zealand.
I’ve also guided trips in Australia in locations such as the Blue Mountains, Point Perpendicular, Nowra, Mount Arapiles, the Grampians, Mount Buffalo, Kosiuszko National Park, and Tasmania.
At the beginning of 2020, I started an animal rescue charity in Sydney called ‘William Skea’s Animal Rescues’, where I rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats found to be victims of animal cruelty.
Through my adventure guiding and photography, I raise money for my cat rescue charity with 100% being donated whenever you sign up for an adventure or purchase one of my prints. I also run 1:1 coaching, bike trips, and adventure photography courses as ways to fundraise for my charity.
I currently live in the Blue Mountains, Australia, where I run my cat rescue shelter and plans my next adventures.
You can check out my cat rescue charity or sign up for an adventure at my other website called williamskea.com.au.

Wendy Bruere: “I can’t recommend Will highly enough. We did a six-day mountaineering traverse in the Monte Rosa area, and although conditions were far from ideal Will led us through everything expertly—including steep icy sections, narrow ridge lines and a maze of crevasses. He is an incredibly skilled and safe climber and alpinist, with a genuine passion for mentoring others to help them achieve their goals.”
Peter Rhode: “I had what seemed like a lifetime‘s worth of mountain experience in two weeks with Will‘s guiding and mentorship. I learned new skills and developed a level of confidence in the mountains that I would never have dreamed of. Climbing a total of seven 4000m peaks in the Swiss Alps was a mind blowing experience. I‘ll be coming back for seven more for sure.”
